Who we are

Cinevolution Media Arts Society (http://www.cinevolutionmedia.com, “we” or “us” or “our”) is a grassroots, women-led, migrant-driven non-profit film and media arts organization based in Richmond, BC, the occupied, traditional and ancestral territories of the hǝn̓q̓ ǝmin̓ ǝm̓ speaking peoples, including the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam) and other Coast Salish Nations. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit the Digital Carnival Z website (https://digitalcarnival.ca) and our mobile application, including any other media form, media channel, mobile website, or mobile application related or connected thereto (collectively, the “Site”). Your privacy is important to us and we will respect requests to remove your personal information or to opt out from receiving correspondence from us. Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the site.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Cookies

We may use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, and other tracking technologies on the Site and our mobile application to help customize the Site and our mobile application and improve your experience. The use of this tool does not allow us or our analytics service provider to identify individuals.

By accessing the Site our mobile application, you consent to the collection and use of your information by this third-party vendor. We don’t expressly share our data with anyone; however we do use third-party services, such as Google analytics, Mailchimp, Eventbrite (if you sign up with them), SoundCloud, YouTube and Alchemer (if you fill out our survey).  Each of these providers collect data in their own way (via cookies for example, if you watch a YouTube video and are signed into Google at the same). What rights you have over your data

If you have provided us with personally identifiable information, you can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Security of your Information

While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information.
